and Special Guest Appearance, Patrick Swayze (Actor/Dancer/Choreographer)
Day of Dance for Heart Health celebrated heart health awareness. Day of dance offered community health screenings, lectures by prominent physicians, wellness presentations and dance demonstrations encouraging audience participation. There were heart-healthy cooking demonstrations, lunch, and, of course, lots of dancing!!
Dr. Jeffrey Levine, a physician on staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and an associate professor of family medicine at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, spoke about his experience on NBC's "The Biggest Loser" and the importance of weight loss, exercise, and nutrition to cardiovascular health.
In an effort to educate the community about heart disease, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital invited women and men to attend the national Day of Dance for Heart Health.
